We don't sell alcohol, handle payments, or stand between you and the restaurant: any purchase you make is between you and them. Use PairMe if you're of legal drinking age, and drink responsibly. Who can use PairMe
You must be of legal drinking age where you are: 21 or older in the United States, or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction if different. By using PairMe, you're telling us that you are. If you're not, please stop here.
What PairMe is
A recommendation service. We read a wine list, consider what you've ordered and what you've told us about your taste, and suggest wines that suit it, with a short reason and a pronunciation guide.
What PairMe is not
We are not a retailer, an importer, a distributor, or a licensed seller of alcohol. We do not take payment for wine, we do not place orders, and we do not deliver anything. Every purchase is a transaction between you and the restaurant, made independently of the app, and we don't process it. Tapping Present shares a record of your table with the restaurant; that is not a payment or an order.
We are not a medical service, and nothing we suggest is medical advice. Check ingredients with restaurant staff before you eat or drink anything.
Restaurant listings and featured wines
We don't currently accept payment from restaurants, distributors, or brands to feature specific wines more prominently. If that ever changes, any paid placement will be clearly marked as such every time it appears, it will never change the underlying recommendation logic used for everyone else, and we won't take a commission on anything you drink.
Accuracy
Wine lists change, cellars run out, and print runs into folds. We read menus as carefully as we can and tell you when we couldn't read something, but we can't promise a price, a vintage, or that a bottle is actually in the building. The restaurant is the authority on all three.
Your account and your content
You own what you write: your notes, your ratings, your free-text answers. You give us permission to use them to make your picks better and to improve the service for everyone else, in aggregate. You can delete your account and your content at any time; anything already folded into our aggregate, de-identified improvements to the service isn't pulled back out, since it no longer identifies you. You sign in with Apple or Google only, and we never ask for a password; keep that sign-in to yourself. Deleting your account in the app is immediate. The restaurant's record of what was presented at your table stays with the restaurant, no longer linked to you.
Fair use
Don't scrape us, resell our output, upload anything you don't have the right to upload, or use PairMe to break the law in your jurisdiction. We may suspend an account that does.
Drink responsibly
We suggest wine. We don't encourage anyone to drink more of it, and nothing in the app rewards volume. Don't drive after drinking.
The legal part
PairMe is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is capped at $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow limits like that, in which case it applies to you only as far as the law permits. Disputes are resolved through individual, binding arbitration in Denver, Colorado, rather than in court or as part of a class action. The full Terms have the details and your right to opt out.
Changes and ending
We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version is always posted here. Continuing to use PairMe after an update means you accept the changes. You can stop using PairMe and delete your account whenever you like.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
